Green transition decisions, priced and modelled

We work with management teams, heads of sustainability and public institutions who need more than a target. Each engagement ends with numbers management can act on.

01 · Climate economics

Climate economics

From greenhouse gas accounts to transition plans: what the transition costs, what it returns, and in which order to act.

Discuss a project

Denmark, index 2000 = 100

Growth and carbon have parted ways in Denmark: GDP is up 38%, while CO₂ is down 48% on Danish territory and 27% including imports. Sources: Eurostat, OECD, IMF and World Bank, and Global Carbon Budget, via Our World in Data; Eurostat material flow accounts. More on the next decoupling

Greenhouse gas accounts

Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventories to the GHG Protocol, ready for audit and for reporting under the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and its climate standard, ESRS E1.

Science-based targets and CDP

Target setting and validation with the Science Based Targets initiative, and responses to CDP, the global environmental disclosure system, built on solid data.

Transition plans

Pathways to 2030 and net zero with measures, costs, owners and milestones.

Abatement cost curves

Which measures cut the most CO₂e per krone, and in what order to fund them.

Climate scenarios and risk

Carbon prices, regulation and physical risk translated into financial impact.

Where to start

Transition scan

Fixed scope and price · 2–3 weeks

Your baseline, the gap to your target, the measures ranked by cost per tonne, and the value at stake.

Questions we answer

  • What will our 2030 target cost, and what does it return?
  • Which Scope 3 categories matter, and how good is our data?
  • How does a rising carbon price affect our margins?
  • Which measures should we fund first?

02 · Circular economy

Circular economy

The linear economy wastes value in four ways: resources that cannot be renewed, capacity that sits idle, products that end their life too early, and materials thrown away with their value still in them. Circular business models turn that waste into revenue. We find the models that fit your business and test the economics before you invest.

Five circular business models around the value chain: circular supply chains, sharing platforms, product life extension and recovery and recycling, with product as a service wrapping the whole loop Product as a service WRAPS ALL FOUR MODELS Circular supply chains Sharing platforms Product life extension Recovery and recycling Sourcing Production Logistics Marketing & sales Product use End of life Reverse logistics THE VALUE CHAIN Five ways to keep value in the loop

Five circular business models

Product as a service

The model that wraps the other four. Customers pay for use or performance instead of ownership: leasing, subscription, pay-per-use or pay-per-outcome. Because you keep the asset, the other models become your own business case: you build to last, share capacity, repair and remanufacture, and take the materials back.

Circular supply chains

Products built to last, and renewable, bio-based or recycled inputs that replace virgin and scarce materials.

Sharing platforms

Idle capacity put to work through shared use of products, equipment, space and vehicles.

Product life extension

Repair and maintenance, upgrades, resale and remanufacturing, including a second-hand market for your own products.

Recovery and recycling

Take-back, reverse logistics, recycling and upcycling of the materials and value left in used products.

For each model we map the material flows, put a number on the value at stake, size the effect of producer responsibility and packaging rules, and build the business case in the format your board uses.

Where to start

Circular opportunity scan

Fixed scope and price · 2–3 weeks

Your material flows, where value and resilience are lost, which business models fit, supply risks, and the value at stake.

How the steps work →

Questions we answer

  • Can product-as-a-service pay for itself in our market?
  • How big is the second-hand market for our products, and how do we capture it?
  • What will extended producer responsibility cost us?
  • Which partners and technologies do we need to close the loop?

03 · Data & AI

Data & AI

We use AI, data and technology to drive innovation in sourcing, production and delivery: less resource use, less pollution and a longer productive life for products and assets. Every solution starts from strategy and a strong business case.

Data and AI maturity assessment, illustrative Spider chart with eight dimensions scored from 0 to 5: vision and strategy, sponsorship and governance, business case and KPIs, organisation and skills, tools and capabilities, data management, data for analytics and insight-driven decisions. Data audits

Where resources, emissions, waste and value sit in your data, how good the data is, and what it can be used for.

Use cases with a business case

AI and automation opportunities across sourcing, production and delivery, ranked by value, impact and risk.

Private AI platforms

Purpose-built solutions on your own data, in an environment you control, so sensitive information stays in house. Where it helps, we work with partners who hold large libraries of proven AI use cases.

Circular operations

Predictive maintenance, material tracking, repair and resale flows that extend the productive life of products and assets.

From pilot to daily use

Governance, training and follow-up, so the solution is used and both savings and impact are measured.

Every audit starts with a maturity assessment across eight dimensions, from vision and governance to data quality and insight-driven decisions. It shows where you stand, where you need to be and which gap to close first. The largest gap is often not the technology, but the business case and how value is measured.

Where to start

Data & AI audit

Fixed scope and price · 3–4 weeks

A maturity assessment, what data you hold and how good it is, and five to ten use cases ranked by value, impact and risk, each with a first estimate of the business case.

How the steps work →

Questions we answer

  • Where can AI cut resource use and cost in our value chain?
  • Can data extend the life of our products and assets?
  • Is our data good enough to build on?
  • Can we use AI without sending sensitive data to outside services?

How every engagement runs

No business case, no build. No baseline, no pilot. No measured result, no scale.

The same six steps apply to climate economics, circular economy and data & AI. Each step ends with a gate. If the gate is not met, we stop or rework, so you never pay for a build that has no business case or a result nobody can measure.

  1. 00

    First conversation

    Free · 60 minutes

We agree the business question, what data exists and whether we are the right fit. You get a one-page note.

GateA clear question with an owner on your side.

  2. 01

    Scan

Fixed scope and price · 2–4 weeks

A fact base, the value at stake and three options, with the baseline and data gaps stated.

GateThe value at stake is quantified against a stated baseline.

  3. 02

    Decision workshop

1 day · optional board briefing

Management chooses one to three priorities, each with an owner, KPIs for money and impact, and stop criteria.

GateA named sponsor, agreed KPIs and stop criteria for every priority.

  4. 03

    Business case

    4–6 weeks

A business case in your board’s format: investment, payback, risks, funding, partners and regulatory fit, plus the measurement plan.

GateThe business case is approved, and the baseline and measurement plan are in place.

  5. 04

    Pilot

    8–12 weeks

One priority built and tested against success criteria fixed before it starts. We bring in specialist partners where they add value.

GateMeasured results meet the success criteria agreed up front.

  6. 05

    Scale and measure

    Quarterly

Roll-out with results tracked against the business case: DKK saved and earned, tonnes of CO₂e and materials.

GateEach quarter: scale, adjust or stop, based on the numbers.

We bring in specialist partners when a project needs them, for example for AI build work or access to large libraries of proven use cases. Prescient stays responsible for the business case and the measured outcome.
